TEA SERVER/ KITCHEN PERSONNEL JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:  Historic Bishop Home Server and Kitchen help

Job Description: These are a part-time position. The servers and kitchen personnel provide service for the Historic Bishop Home Teas that are fund raising opportunities for the support of the Historic Bishop Home. There are 5 teas a year. The teas are in October, December, February, May, and July. They are one weekend during the specified months on a Saturday afternoon and the occasional Sunday afternoon. The work shifts are approximately 5 hours each tea day.


Days: Saturdays between 12 noon and 5 p.m.

    Essential job duties for Tea Servers:

    • Prepare tea plates and beverages for service.
    • Finish table setups with condiments.
    • Serve patrons tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts during the formal tea from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Remove dirty dishes and help prepare for washing.
    • Help clean and reset house after tea.



    • Essential job duties for Kitchen personnel:

      • Prepare tea plates and beverages for service.
      • Finish table setups with condiments.
      • Prepare scones for baking and bake scones.
      • Organizing and maintaining tea kettles and organizing and overseeing dishwashing.


      • Other duties: There may be the occasional extra cater event that would require servers.



        Pay. $12.00 per hour, no tipping. Limited opportunity to taste tea sandwiches and scones.

        Calling All Board Members!

        New Board Members needed to help develop and sustain the Historic Bishop Home. The Cadoma Foundation, property owner of the Historic Bishop Home, is looking for new Board Members. Several current members have completed their terms, so we have openings for 3 members. The term is for two years. Board Members develop plans for events at the home, advise on the home's restoration, and work to integrate the home into the community.
