OUR VALENTINE’S DAY IS A TIME TO CELEBRATE ONE ANOTHER IN AN HISTORIC HOME ATMOSPHERE DECORATED WITH HEARTS AND FLOWERS. Enjoy a three-course sit down tea with friends at the Historic Bishop Home. Teatime is 2:00 p.m. The tea costs $40.00 per person ($10.00 is a donation to support the Historic Bishop Home). Reservation’s deadline is February 5, 2025. Typically, our teas sell out before the deadline.

April 26th
- 1920’S Influence On Food Preparation

The 1920s transformed America’s food ways, due to changes in supply chains, kitchen technologies, and advertising. Gone was the “Ice Box” in came the refrigerator, gas and electric stoves plus more. Those effects were felt in the Bishop Home as well.

A TIME TO DUST OFF YOUR FASCINATOR OR NOT AND CELEBRATE THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE AT OUR HISTORIC BISHOP HOME MOTHER’S DAY TEA. Spring flowers, teacups, and creative sandwiches, delicious scones, and delicate desserts await guests. Enjoy a three-course sit down tea with friends at the Historic Bishop Home. June 14th
- Annual Throwback Dinner

First-person actor Rick Scheideman will appear as Mark Twain On June 14, 2025 at our annual Throwback dinner. An Evening with Mark Twain will begin with a reception at the Historic Bishop Home and progress to the Casper Country Club for dinner and entertainment. With humor and wisdom, Twain will share aspects of his fascinating life, including his trip through Wyoming in July 1861. Mark your calendars now for this memorable event.

- How The World's Fair Changed Our Food with Geoffrey Hunt

The World’s Fairs significantly impacted American food culture by introducing and popularizing iconic foods like Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix, Juicy Fruit Gum, Cream of Wheat, and Cracker Jacks and showcasing new food technologies and concepts. Come hear Geoff entertain us with his knowledge of how the world of food changed because of the various World Fairs.
Geoff Hunt, known as the “Wizard of History” earned his Bachelor of Arts in History at University of Wyoming, his master’s in museum studies at Cooperstown, and Ph.D. in History at Colorado University-Boulder. He is active with other Casper cultural sites, Crimson Dawn and the Nicolaysen Museum.

SINCE WE INTRODUCED CASPER TO OUR MURDER MYSTRY TEA 24 YEARS AGO, IT CONTINUES TO BE OVER THE TOP POPULAR. GUESTS PLAY PARTS OR NOT AND EVERYONE GETS TO PARTICIPATE IN A FAMILY FRIENDLY “WHO DUN IT”. THE HISTORIC BISHOP HOME IS DECKED IN HOLIDAY FINERY FROM THE LIVING ROOM TO THE ATTIC. GUESTS CAN “DON THEIR GAY APPAREL” AND ENJOY A FESTIVE HOLIDAY OCCASION. Enjoy a three course in tea in a historic setting adorned with vintage decorations. Teatime is 2:00 p.m. The tea costs $40.00 per person ($10.00 is a donation to support the Historic Bishop Home). Reservation’s deadline is December 10, 2025. Typically, our teas sell out before the deadline.
